MEET KATE

I have been teaching Pilates and Barre since 2014, and Yoga since 2017. I am passionate about helping people to connect to their bodies, move efficiently and enjoy exercise! I strongly believe that exercise is a way to a clearer and happier mind, while gaining the benefits of building strength, flexibility and increasing overall health.

My studies have been with the best movement schools in Australia, and I strive to stay up to date with movement science, and expanding my knowledge of fitness and wellbeing.  

​

Since returning to Dumfries, I have been teaching Pilates (mat & reformer), Barre & Yoga, both for myself and in a studio.  

​

I now offer a variety of classes online via this site, and 1-1s and small groups via Zoom.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

HOW ARE YOUR CLASSES DIFFERENT FROM OTHER FITNESS CLASSES?

I want you to feel welcome and part of a community, I care about how you feel coming to class, during class and after class! I'm highly trained and experienced in the disciplines I practice so you can feel confident you're in the right place.  Exercise should be joyful, and that's how I hope you feel when leaving class with me (and maybe a little sore!)

CAN BEGINNERS COME TO YOUR CLASSES?

YES! Beginners are welcome at all classes, come with an open mind and be prepared to challenge yourself over time. Breaks and modifications are highly encouraged when you need them.
If you are returning from pregnancy, or injury, please consult your GP before starting any exercise regime.
Don't be afraid to get in touch with any questions may still have regarding your readiness for group classes.

HOW DO I JOIN IN ONLINE?

Different options work for different people, if you prefer that I can see you, you feel like you're in an 'in real life class' and  the PAYG Zoom classes or 1-1s is for you.

If you like to workout at different times of the day and have lots of options available to you, the prerecorded classes (a monthly unlimited membership) is your option.

You can also do a combination of both! 

ARE CLASSES SUITABLE FOR PREGNANCY?

Classes can be modified to be pregnancy friendly, and may require GP/midwife clearance to exercise. You may be required to attend a 15 minute 1-1 session to understand general pregnancy modifications.

There are multiple classes in the Pre-Recorded class section of the website suitable for pre & postnatal.
